I’m Kilyn Roth, author of the Faithful Paws Book Series, including Adam, Eve and the First Dog, a faith-filled children’s book celebrating God’s love and the special bond we share with dogs. Through the Heart of a Dog podcast, I share inspiring stories from musicians, artists, and everyday dog lovers. A portion of every book and podcast supports local Humane Societies, giving shelter dogs the second chance they deserve.

To inspire compassion, celebrate the bond between people and their pets, and bring awareness
to the needs of shelter and rescue dogs through storytelling, creativity, and community outreach.
Through whimsical children's books like the story of Adam naming the first dog "Dog"
and personal interviews with artists and dog lovers alike, our goal is to:

The Author Kilyn Roth
Hi, I’m Kilyn Roth, wife, mother, recent empty nester, and now embracing a new season filled with writing, ministry, and purpose. I’m a former broadcast correspondent and journalist turned children’s author, a retired speaker for Stonecroft Ministries, and
an Awana leader who finds joy in encouraging others and sharing God’s love through story and service.
I’m currently writing a children’s book inspired by a whimsical idea, that after walking with God, Adam named the first dog simply “Dog.” After all, it’s no coincidence that “dog” is “God” spelled backwards! This imaginative, faith-rooted story celebrates the beautiful bond between humans and their dogs, reminding us of God’s faithfulness, love, and the joy of His creation.
The Faithful Paws Series continues that vision, offering Christian faith-based stories that teach timeless lessons of love, hope, and truth through the adventures of our loyal four-legged friends. Each book points children back to Scripture while celebrating the wagging tails and unconditional love that reflect the heart of our Creator.
Alongside these books, I’m collecting real-life dog stories from musicians, families, and fellow dog lovers, with a desire to raise awareness and support for local Humane Societies and rescue organizations.
I’m also the proud wife of JW Roth, the visionary behind The Ford Amphitheater, where music, creativity, and community come together in a place we deeply love.
At The Ford, we not only enjoy unforgettable performances, but also share interviews with some of our favorite artists, spotlighting their stories of faith and the dogs who have touched their lives. Our journey has been filled with faith, family, and the belief that we
are all here to make a difference.
Our home wouldn’t be complete without our three incredible dogs Jack, Hank, and Deuce, each with their own rescue story, wagging tails, and lessons in unconditional love.
