Meet Jack –
My Faithful Friend

 

Jack is my 14-year-old Border Collie and the heart behind so much of this journey. He is the most loyal and loving companion I could ever imagine. Incredibly smart, Jack understands more words than we can count, we often find ourselves spelling things out just so he doesn’t catch on!

What makes Jack truly special is his gentle spirit and joyful presence. He greets everyone with a smile and a wagging tail, always ready to share a little happiness. Whether we’re walking through the garden, working on a project, or simply resting at home, Jack is faithfully by my side. He’s calm, obedient, and full of personality, I'm so proud of the dog he is.

Jack’s love is pure and unconditional. He’s more than a pet, he’s family, a gift from God, and a reminder every day of what it means to love well.

Meet Hank –
Our Loyal Protector & Playful Tank

Hank, affectionately nicknamed “The Tank,”is our strong and steady, 13-year-old, Border Collie–Australian Cattle Dog mix. With his big frame and even bigger heart, Hank is a gentle giant who brings both joy and comfort to our home.

Hank’s favorite game in the world is fetch, he could play ball from sunrise to sunset and never get tired. His energy, intelligence, and loyalty make him such a special part of our family. But what truly sets Hank apart is his protective nature, especially when it comes to our daughter. When she was little, Hank would curl up next to her every night, a quiet guardian keeping watch and bringing comfort through the dark.

Though Hank is always up for a game, he’s also content in his own company, sometimes choosing to nap in the cool bathtub, just enjoying the peace. He’s more independent than our other dogs, but no less loving. With his calm presence, joyful spirit, and fierce loyalty, Hank is not only our faithful friend –

he’s a blessing in every way.

Meet Deuce –
The Joyful Rescue Who Brought New Life

Deuce is the newest (and spunkiest!) member of our family, a purebred Australian Shepherd with a sparkle in his eyes and joy in his heart. He has boundless energy and a spirit that lights up the whole house. When Deuce gets excited, he zooms in happy circles around the living room, leaping over anything in his path, tail wagging and heart soaring.

But Deuce’s story is more than playful energy, it’s one of rescue and redemption. He was first saved from an abusive situation by a kind-hearted veterinary technician who took him in and gave him a second chance. When she found herself caring for many rescues, she began placing them in forever homes. That’s when our daughter and son-in-law found Deuce, and we are so thankful they did.

Deuce is a lover through and through. He adores curling up on the couch beside you, snuggling close and soaking in the warmth of home. His presence has brought new energy to our older dogs, Jack and Hank, lifting their spirits and giving them a playful spark we hadn't seen in years.

With his joyful soul, loving heart, and second-chance story, Deuce reminds us daily of the healing

power of love.
